Founded in 2026, with a large donation of medical supplies and research materials acquired by philanthropist Richard Taylor during the chaos immediately following the Calamity. A well-known local philanthropist whose wife was effected by the Calamity- his wife, pregnant at the time, miscarried their child and she became Barren. The supplies were tracked down over the course of the years 2023-2025 and donated for medical research, to 'ceaselessly pursue the cure to the Barren Condition, for the continuation and health of all mankind.'
8 Barren security personnel, on loan from the Legion's most level-headed members, act as guards for this controversial facility. Two Barren volunteers- one male, and one female- reside here, having consented to be used for medical testing. 20 Human researchers and research assistants work ceaselessly to pursue a way to solve humanity's fertility problem.
The existence of this facility is a deeply controversial topic with both races. There are some, among the Barren, who see no need for their condition to be 'cured,' and other Humans who have no desire to for the Barren to rise above their station.
Neither the government nor the Legion have taken an official stance on this facility's research, but one must wonder why, after nearly 50 years, no progress has been disclosed...
